The Department consists of a haemodialysis unit with 16 stations; a CAPD unit; a day care unit; an in-patient consultation

The department maintains comprehensive cooperation with family practitioners in the community, serving as a center of excellence and consultation on early identification and referral of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
CKD is a severe public health problem: approximately 10% of the adult population suffer silently, unaware that they are at risk and therefore they do not seek appropriate urine and blood testing. Dr. Slotki and his team are spearheading efforts to increase awareness to the importance of early detection through family doctors in the community and by means of the media.
