Shaare Zedek Medical Center's Ear Nose and Throat and Head-Neck Surgery Department was established 20 years ago as a small unit.
It grew and developed over time, reaching its current scope – a full-fledged department with experts in all ENT fields, including complex, innovative operations.
Additionally, the increasing number of hospitalization beds in the department and the number of outpatients served in the clinic are excellent growth indicators.
Our department's physicians have expertise and experience in all ENT areas including tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, ear tube surgery, nose operations (for both breathing and aesthetic purposes), and sinus surgery.
We also have established a reputation as leaders in the field of advanced ear operations, implantation of hearing aids, oncological surgery and removal of various types of tumors, voice treatments and vocal cord surgery for treating hoarseness, procedures for snoring and breathing disorders in children and adults and many other interventions.
Our department is committed to providing excellent care to our patients, both inpatients and clinic outpatients, while creating a relaxed, pleasant environment.
This way, we hope to provide you with an optimal care experience.
Research
Our department's physicians take part in studies in several areas of ENT, both at Shaare Zedek Medical Center and at the Faculty of Medicine of The Hebrew University.
Future Plans
Our physicians participate in and present at local and international conferences in order to implement the most advanced, innovative treatment. Furthermore, we are constantly involved in research and development of new treatment methods in different fields and integrate cutting edge procedures and technologies (which will, no doubt, become the standard in the future) to improve precision in complex operations.
With our sincere wishes for your health,
Prof. Jean Yves Sichel
