The Pharmacy Department provides comprehensive pharmacy services, which promote high quality and cost effective drug use for all patients of Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

Services include:
Clinical pharmacy services
Inpatient and ambulatory patient services
Drug information
Clinical trials services
Sterile preparation - T.P.N. antibiotics, cytotoxics etc.
Teaching activities

 

The pharmacy is responsible for the supply of medicines toinpatients 

Clinical pharmacy services are provided to most departments. The pharmacists visit wards and review medication charts. They monitor drugtherapy and facilitate the supply of medicine to the wards. Clinical pharmacistsparticipate in ward rounds. They advise on safe, effective and economical use ofmedicines and provide drug information to medical, nursing and healthstaff.

 

Pharmacists participate in the Therapeutics Committee, HelsinkiCommittee, and Committees for Safety. They also participate in the committeefor Prevention of Infectious Diseases, Emergency Services and the Committee forSafety and Quality of Drug Use.

 

The Pharmacy additionally provides services for soldiers and personnel.

 

Sunday – Thursday       8.00 -16.00

The pharmacists provide an on-call pharmacy service when the pharmacy is closed.
