Areas of Activity
Patient Care
The Neurology department is responsible for treating neurological problems of adult patients at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
Patients suffering from primary neurological disorders or from neurological complications of systemic diseases, hospitalized at Shaare Zedek are examined by the neurological consultants.
Electrophysiological studies are performed, as necessary, in the Neurological Institute.
Ambulatory patients are seen in the outpatient clinic on the fourth floor.
The Neurology department team treats all neurological diseases.
Areas of particular interest are:
Neurological problems of adolescents
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorders of adolescents/young adults
Neurological problems in the population of young women
Epilepsy
Headaches
Strokes of all etiologies
Teaching
The Department participates in clinical teaching of Neurology to medical students at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Medical School and nursing students at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center School of Nursing.
Research
The department staff takes part in a variety of research projects. Findings are presented in publications in peer reviews journals and through presentations in professional conferences.
Elective students from Israeli or foreign universities can perform elective rotation in the department.
Ambulatory Clinic Visiting Hours
The ambulatory outpatient clinic operates on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Neurological Institute
The Institute hours are:
Sunday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:00
All electrophysiological tests are performed in the institute, including:
Electroencephalogram (EEG)
Electromyogram (EMG)
Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV)
Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials (BERA)
Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP)
