The Ambulatory Services Unit The Ambulatory Services Unit The Ambulatory Services Unit mediates between the Cardiology Department and community doctors. Patients are referred here from the community so that the specialist team from the various cardiology fields – coronary artery disease, heart failure, muscle and valve diseases, dysrhythmias, and others – can evaluate their situation. Within the framework of this service, some patients receive an initial diagnosis of their illness while others come for check-ups after hospitalization or for periodical monitoring purposes, in full cooperation with the family doctor. The Ambulatory Services Unit works in conjunction with the Non-Invasive Cardiology Unit, the Unit for Invasive Cardiology and the Heart Diseases Rehabilitation and Prevention Institute.
