The focus group allows women treated at the IVF unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center to conduct an open discussion in a positive atmosphere. They can ask questions, make requests and share their feelings about the challenging process and experience they are about to undergo.
Based on the subjects brought up in the group, the unit's staff will perform an operative examination to check what things might be added to the process or changed in order to improve the overall experience for the patients.
The discussion is moderated by the head nurse and the unit's social worker.
This kind of cooperation will enhance the staff's awareness to the inner world of the women and their partners all the while helping the patients be more attentive to the medical aspects of the process.
