Occupational Therapy is a discipline that aims to help patients return to activities they wish or need to do – such as daily tasks, studies, work, leisure activities or social activities.
There are four units at the Occupational Therapy Institute at Shaare Zedek Medical Center:
•    Hand Rehabilitation
•    Pediatric Occupational Therapy
•    Geriatric Rehabilitation
•    General Occupational Therapy (in the hospital departments)
Each unit provides professional services while also paying particular attention to emotional support for both patients and their families.
The treatment process includes a personal/family interview, diagnosis, treatment evaluation and short and long-term goalsetting.
