The Oncology Day Hospitalization Unit is the heart of the Oncology Institute. The Unit’s chief activities are providing ambulatory chemical and biological treatments as well as supplementary treatments such as administering blood and fluids.

The Unit accepts patients who need quick and urgent clarification and also provides solutions for patients requiring pain balance or for simpler procedures that do not need hospitalization.

The Unit provides broad, warm and welcoming “safety net” for each patient and their families. Every patient is assigned a permanent doctor and nurse, ably assisted by social workers, dieticians, a psychiatrist and spiritual escorts, who together offer comprehensive treatment and medical and social support.

Within the framework of Institute's research studies and clinical trials, we also offer our patients innovative treatments with advanced drugs.

The Unit also offers other activities for patient welfare, such as physical exercise during treatment, and holistic treatments such as shiatzu, massage and art therapy.
