Athletes have increased nutritional needs. Therefore, adjusting a nutrition program to the training program will improve and maximize abilities. The nutrition program is tailored to each athlete according to sport, his/her training program, weight objectives and daily schedule. The program will adjust the amount of energy the athlete uses up, the amount of nutrients he or she needs (carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals), as well as the timing of the food intake depending on the duration of the workout, the type of training, intensity and duration.
