The Shaare Zedek Reconstructive and Functional Urology Center is highly skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract structural and functional disorders. Most of the work is done in the operating rooms, but the staff also assists in a variety of ambulatory procedures. In addition, the department offers a unique clinical service specializing in pain management. 

We perform operations to replace knee and hip joints, and knee and hip revisions, even when the patient’s first replacement was done in another hospital or overseas.

The Bariatric Surgery Unit treats patients with morbid obesity when behavioral and environmental solutions such as diets and medication are not sufficient.

The unit, one of the best in its field, provides the highest standards of care for patients with breast cancer and related diseases. The unit offers a multi-disciplinary approach while emphasizing the patient's well-being and personal support. 

Unlike other procedures, in cardiothoracic surgery the anesthesiologist's attention is focused on monitoring the patient's heart functions during the surgery and the hours afterwards. 

The endoscope - a tube-like device with a camera and a light sourse - is used in many medical procedures, including examining the digestive tract, taking biopses, removing polips, stopping bleeding and more. 

The Digestive Diseases Institute is a center for diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive tract. The institute is composed of several specialized units that encompass all the medical services in the field of gastroenterology. 

High blood pressure is a disease that accelerates the arteriosclerosis development process, as well as increasing the risk of strokes, heart attacks, heart failure, kidney failure and blood cell damage. Therefore it is extremely important to maintain stable blood pressure  . 

The unit treats pregnant women, and women planning a pregnancy. who suffer from an inflamatory bowel disease. 

Physicians specialising in gastroenterology, surgery, gynecology and internal medicine work side by side with dietitians, a psychologist and the nursing staff to provide our patients with the best standard of care. 

We diagnose problems in liver functions and offer treatments to people suffering from acute anc chronic liver diseases.

The Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center offers advice and surgical treatment for all problems related to the oral cavity, jaws, face and neck.

The unit offers diagnosis and treatment for motoric and functional problems of the digestive tract. 

Shaare Zedek's Ophthalomolgy Department is a leader in its field, with over 20,000 patients each year.  Our experts offer surgical and non-invasive treatments for any problem concerning the retina, vitreous humor and cornea, strabismus corrections, glaucoma and Oculoplastics. Our experts also perform cataract operations using advanced equipment.

The department offers general and specific orthopedic services in several areas of expertise: spine, ankle and foot, arthroscopy, hand surgery, joint replacement, trauma and knee. 

We offer advanced ear surgeries, including reconsturction of the auditory canal and cochlear implants, complex head-neck operations to remove tumors, nose and sinuses treatments and procedures to reconstruct the upper airways in children.

The Plastic, Reconstructive and Esthetic Surgery Department at Shaare Zedek offers you a range of treatments and surgeries.

The Pre-Operative Screening Clinic coordinates the treatment of surgical candidates and provides a structured environment for patients to receive all relevant information, ask questions and share their fears and worries.

The unit offers conservative treatments (such as pain management and drugs) and we perform all spinal operations.

The department uses the very latest technology to treat the range of urological diseases –kidney diseases and urinary tract problems in men and women, and of the male reproductive tract. These include tumors and cysts in the kidneys, bladder and prostate, stones in the urinary tract, infections and inflammations in the urinary tract and disruptions in urine control. The department is recognized as a national center of excellence in reconstructive urinary tract surgery in general and in penile and urethral surgery in particular.  Parallel to the department’s activities are a Neurourology and Urodynamics Clinic, a Uro-Gynecology Clinic, and a designated clinic for treating stones in the urinary tract.

A variety of examinations and surgical procedures concerning vascular problems are performed at the Vascular Surgery Unit. On staff are surgeons specializing in the intricacies of the vascular system, nurses and certified technicians. At their disposal are advanced duplex, doppler and ultrasound ultrasound devices for diagnosis and treatment.
