Nursing School

The Nursing School adjacent to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center was founded in 1936 by the legendary "Schwester" (Nurse) Selma Mayer, who also directed the school for many years.
More than 2,000 graduates have worked or are currently working in health systems in Israel and overseas, contributing to the nursing profession in a wide range of roles: diagnosing and treating health disorders, engaging in disease prevention and health promotion, providing health solutions for special needs and multi-cultural populations, and serving in management positions in health, education and research.

Medical Library

The medical library at Shaare Zedek serves the medical staff, medical students, and nursing students.

The library houses approximately 90 printed medical journals and around 3,000 books covering various medical fields. Additionally, the library provides online access to more than 6,000 professional journals and numerous electronic databases.

Medical Ethics Unit

The unit deals with the connection between modern medicine and ethics, law, legislation and halacha (Jewish law).

The unit provides consultations in the fields of medical ethics, medicine and halacha and medicine and law to the medical and paramedical teams, as well as to patients and family members.
