Specialization Courses in Nursing for Graduates with a Bachelor's Degree
Registration for the Classification Examination
Candidates who meet the prerequisite criteria for recognized nursing enrichment programs, as guided by the Nursing Directorate, are eligible to take the examination. Criteria include:
- Israeli citizen or resident.
- Holds a valid nursing license as authorized to practice as a certified nurse.
- Holds an academic degree recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Education.
Registration Process
Submit the registration form along with the required documents (original + photocopy) and receive confirmation upon payment of a registration fee of 50 ₪. Incomplete documents will not be accepted.
Invitations for the examination will be sent via email approximately one week before the examination date, only to candidates who have completed the registration process as required. Examination details are available on the Nursing Directorate's website.
Final registration deadline: In the year 2023, the examination date is scheduled for January only.
Please note, the number of available spots is limited. The Nursing School reserves the right to close registration before this deadline if all examination spots are filled.

The foundational course program with clinical instruction provides skills in private and group teaching alongside training and change management abilities. During the course, participants will learn diverse teaching methods such as frontal instruction, exercises, workshops, and simulations, and will apply these skills in clinical practice.
Scope of the recognized nursing enrichment program with clinical instruction:
176 hours of theoretical study. 124 hours of clinical experience.
Program Framework:
Program start date: January 2023 Estimated program completion date: December 2023 The theoretical studies will take place on Mondays between 08:00-15:00.
National Registration Examination:
The schedule for the national registration examination will be announced by the Nursing Directorate according to the 2023 examination timetable.
Tuition Fee:
In accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health for the year 2023.

The role of a lactation consultant holds a pivotal and central position in promoting and encouraging breastfeeding throughout the entire care continuum, both in hospital settings and in the community. The Basic Level course in lactation consultation equips individuals with the tools to provide professional assistance and guidance in this field.
Curriculum:
The curriculum includes both theoretical study hours and clinical experience hours in a hospital and community setting. The total program consists of 350 hours, divided as follows:
- 150 hours of theoretical study
- 200 hours of clinical experience
Program Structure:
The theoretical studies will take place on Sundays and Tuesdays. Clinical experience takes place two days a week, following the clinical supervisor's schedule.

The combined Advanced Critical Care Treatment Basic Level Course provides comprehensive knowledge about assessing signs and symptoms in critical and complex conditions, diagnosis, treatment determination, and evaluation across various bodily systems. It also develops skills for supporting and guiding families of patients in acute and complex situations.
Course Curriculum:
The curriculum encompasses both theoretical study hours and clinical experience hours.
Clinical experience is divided into two tracks, based on the trainees' prior clinical experience.
Track A
Designed for trainees who have worked continuously for at least a year, full-time or equivalent, in general critical care units. This track includes 348 hours, divided as follows:
Theoretical study hours - 248
Clinical experience hours - 100
Track B
Intended for trainees employed in specialized critical care units (e.g., cardiac, recovery, cardiac surgical intensive care, neurosurgical intensive care) or for those with no previous clinical experience in critical care. This track includes 448 hours, divided as follows:
Theoretical study hours - 248
Clinical experience hours - 200
Program Structure:
The theoretical studies will take place on Mondays and Thursdays.
Clinical experience occurs twice a week, aligned with the clinical supervisor's schedule.

This course focuses on nursing care for patients preoperatively, during surgery, and postoperatively, encompassing simple and complex surgical procedures. The course imparts knowledge on patient safety and staff safety within the operating room, infection prevention, developing skills for assessing the patient's condition before and during surgery, and responding to variable situations. Additionally, it covers surgical techniques, types of anesthesia and sedation drugs, operating room management, and enhancing communication skills with patients and their families.
Course Curriculum:
The curriculum includes both theoretical study hours and clinical experience hours. Clinical experience is divided into two tracks, based on the trainees' prior clinical experience.
Track A
Designed for trainees who have worked continuously for at least a year, full-time or equivalent, in the operating room. This track includes 515 hours, divided as follows: Theoretical study hours - 299 Clinical experience hours - 216
Track B
Intended for trainees with no prior clinical experience in the operating room. This track includes 715 hours, divided as follows: Theoretical study hours - 299 Clinical experience hours - 416
Program Structure:
The theoretical studies will take place on Thursdays and Fridays. Clinical experience occurs twice a week, aligned with the clinical supervisor's schedule.
