Endocrine Laboratory

The laboratory provides services to departments, clinics, external entities, and private patients at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center. The laboratory team performs a variety of routine and specialized endocrine tests using advanced technologies in the field.

In addition to the routine clinical work, the laboratory also conducts clinical research in collaboration with hospital physicians, researchers from academia, and other medical institutions.

-Hormone tests for the diagnosis and monitoring of thyroid diseases.
-Endocrine investigations for fertility issues and hormone monitoring in fertility treatments.
-Tests for diagnosing growth problems.
-Tests for evaluating kidney function.
-Tests for diagnosing and monitoring diabetes.
-Tests for hypocalcemia and PTH assessment.
-Bone turnover markers tests: CTX, P1NP.
-Vitamin D test.
-Anemia investigation and monitoring: Ferritin, Vitamin B12, Folate.
-Beta-HCG test for pregnancy diagnosis and monitoring.
-Monitoring levels of antiepileptic drugs, digoxin, immunosuppressive drugs (cyclosporine, tacrolimus), and methotrexate in chemotherapy monitoring.
-Urinalysis for drug screening.
