The Service for Gastrointestinal Tumors

About

The GI (Gastrointestinal) Tumors Service provides care for all types of GI malignancies, ranging from colorectal cancer to esophageal, small bowel, and large bowel cancers, including tumors in the rectum and anal canal. Additionally, rare tumors such as neuroendocrine tumors and GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumors) are also treated. Patients diagnosed with primary liver cancer (HCC) are managed within a multidisciplinary framework in collaboration with the hospital's liver unit. Extensive multidisciplinary discussions involving surgeons, gastroenterologists, and interventional radiologists are held for each complex patient to determine the most optimal treatment approach for their condition.

Within the GI Tumors Service, clinical trials with advanced drugs are conducted for various indications, including colon cancer, rectal cancer, small bowel cancer, and esophageal cancer.
