About
The Pediatric Day Hospital at Shaare Zedek Medical Center is one among the first care centers in Israel to provide multi-disciplinary treatment under one roof for children suffering from complex medical conditions. Combined, the different clinics treat about 10,000 children with chronic diseases annually.
Staff
The staff at the children's day hospital includes specialized doctors in various fields of pediatric medicine, certified and skilled nurses in pediatric care, a nutritionist, social workers, psychologist, an educational team consisting of professionals from different disciplines, medical clowns, and medical secretaries. Consultants from various disciplines, including pediatric surgeons, pediatric orthopedics, and anesthetists, are also available as needed.
The children's day hospital also collaborates with volunteer associations to organize events such as holiday celebrations, Bar Mitzvah parties, fun trips for children and parents, and educational days for children and their families outside the hospital premises.
Additionally, the children's day hospital operates several centers of excellence that are recognized nationally and internationally. The collaborative efforts of the team, along with the support from volunteer organizations, create a comprehensive and caring environment for the children and their families during their time at the hospital.
