Accessibility

The management and employees of Shaare Zedek Medical Center strive to provide quality and accessible service to all - including individuals with physical, cognitive, sensory, or language disabilities - in a manner that  promotes and maintains equality, respect, safety, and independence.

Parking

There are 60 parking spaces for the disabled in the open parking lots around the medical center and in front of the emergency room (free of charge). In addition, 32 disabled parking spaces are available in the new underground parking, for a fee.

Accessibility to and within the building

• All three entrances to the medical center are wheelchair accessible: the 2nd floor near the Emergency Room, the Main Entrance on the 4th floor, and the 6th floor at the entrance to the Children's Emergency Room.
• Wheelchairs are available for patients' convenience, for four hours at a time (for a credit card deposit), at wheelchair stations located:

• At the entrance to the ER (Emergency Department) on the 2nd floor
• At the Main Entrance on the 4th floor
• At the exit from the underground parking, on ground (4th floor) level
• At the 6th floor entrance to the Children's Emergency Room 

• Toilets that are wheelchair-accessible are located throughout the hospital:

4th floor - adjacent to Gaya flower shop in main lobby (outpatient clinics corridor)
7th floor - next to the Oncology Department
8th floor - next to Internal Medicine Department A

10th floor - near the central counter

Service Accessibility

We strive to ensure that all services at the medical center are accessible to people with disabilities and invest considerable resources to this end. This process is ongoing.

Escort for orientation

To request an escort for navigation at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, please contact the hospital's switchboard at 02-6555111 in advance of the appointment for prior coordination. The medical center will provide an escort to the relevant department or clinic.

Addressing requests and suggestions for improvement in accessibility issues

The hospital invests considerable resources in making its facilities and services accessible. This process is ongoing, and there may be gaps in accessibility.
