Selection Regulations

Expanded medical fields of choice: Neurosurgery, Gynecological Surgeries, Fertility, and Psychiatry.

The other fields continue according to the selection regulations of each health fund.

For every patient, there is now the option to choose any hospital in three fields: ER, childbirth, and oncological treatments. The new selection regulations expand the fields where the choice is unrestricted, including neurosurgery, gynecological surgeries, fertility, and psychiatry. In the other medical areas, the right to choose between hospitals is still limited according to the selection regulations set by each health fund in relation to the various hospitals.

So how does it work?

In the expanded choice areas, you will receive an obligation letter (Form 17) from the health fund. In Form 17, the name of the medical institution to which the health fund refers all other hospitals where the treatment/examination can be performed will appear. You will then have the option to choose any of the listed institutions.
