Oncology Day Hospitalization

Patients receiving oncological treatment enjoy the following parking benefits:

Complimentary Parking: Patients undergoing oncological treatment are entitled to free parking on the rooftop level of the parking facility, accessible through the main hospital entrance. Please arrange for your parking entry authorization with the assistance of the social worker or the reception team.

The automated wheelchair rental station is located at the entrance to the rooftop parking area. You need to equip yourself with a credit card as a deposit. The wheelchair rental is free for the first 4 hours.

CAFENETO coffee branch: Located on the ground floor (4) of the Oncology Center building.

For day hospital npatients:

Hot Beverage Corner: Complimentary hot beverage station on the 3rd floor of the inpatient ward.

Breakfast: A light meal is served to patients during their treatment.

To schedule future treatments, it is advisable to book appointments in advance at the reception desk or via email. Appointments can be scheduled for several upcoming sessions.

Arriving for day hospitalization is only possible with prior approval and coordination with the staff.

During day hospital hours: Please contact the assigned nurse or the admission team for guidance.

Outside of day hospital hours: Seek urgent medical evaluation in the community or at the ER. Inform the healthcare team promptly.

Seek immediate medical assistance and inform the healthcare team if you experience:

1. A persistent fever above 38 degrees Celsius for more than 30 seconds.
2. Diarrhea more than 6 times a day.
3. Mouth sores that make it difficult to swallow.
4. Frequent vomiting.
5. Chest pain.
6. Shortness of breath.
7. Unusual or severe side effects.

You must have a valid commitment from the health fund for each visit. For details, please contact the reception team.

At your disposal is a Patient's Info Portal that allows convenient access to your medical records at Shaare Zedek and enables you to view your upcoming appointment schedule.

1. Administration of medications, including chemotherapy, biological therapies, and immunotherapies. 
2. Dispensing medications requiring monitoring or supervision. 
3. Provision of supportive treatments: blood transfusions, fluid administration, and other therapeutic interventions. 
4. Supervision of patients before or after certain invasive procedures.

The service is contingent upon patient commitment and includes a number of therapeutic sessions as needed. These therapeutic sessions are designed to help you cope with cancer and the medical treatments that accompany it at all stages of the disease. The goal of the treatment is to address the impact of the medical condition on mental well-being and daily functioning through mutual discussions that address perceptions of the disease, decision-making related to the disease, and dealing with issues related to relationships, parenthood, childbirth, employment, and more. Assistance is provided for coping with accompanying psychological symptoms such as anxiety, low mood, sleep disturbances, and functional difficulties. All of this is aimed at enabling you to lead a normal and adapted lifestyle.

The oncology nutrition clinic is held weekly on Wednesdays between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
