Where is it possible to receive acupuncture treatments?

Acupuncture is offered in the Gynecology and Obstetrics departments as well as in Gastro, Surgery and Oncology departments and in the outpatient clinics.

Is it painful to undergo acupuncture?

Acupuncture needles are extremely fine and their insertion usually doesn't cause any pain. Occasionally the patient feels a slight, momentary pinch. The treatment is considered safe and without risk so long as it is administered by personnel with the proper training and experience.

Can anyone request acupuncture?

Absolutely yes. That being said, there are certain conditions where this option should be weighed before proceeding.

Is the service available for a fee?

Acupuncture is a service provided at no extra cost to inpatients; in the outpatient clinics it is available for a fee.

Rooming In

What is Rooming In?

We allow each mother to give birth to choose the form of rooming that suits her. The term "rooming" refers to the baby's place during the postpartum hospitalization. Each mother can choose the option that suits her.

Full rooming in. The baby stays by the mother's side the whole time. All treatments, tests, and training are done in the delivery room. In wards C and D, special rooms have been adapted for mothers who are interested in full rooming in. The rooms are spacious and equipped for a stay with the baby. A dedicated nurse is in charge of the rooming-in rooms and supports the mother and the baby as one unit.

Is it possible to change a decision regarding full rooming in during one's stay?

Certainly, a mother who needs more rest and would like the nursery staff to take care of the baby can approach the ward staff and ask to be moved to a normal room for the rest of her hospital stay.
