Pediatric Rheumatology Unit

The Pediatric Rheumatology Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center provides care for children facing a variety of issues that affect the musculoskeletal system, including muscles, joints, connective tissues, and the soft tissues surrounding bones and joints. Among others, the unit treats conditions such as joint inflammations, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus), hypermobility, growth pains, fibromyalgia, vasculitis, skin and muscle inflammations, musculoskeletal pain syndromes, scleroderma (systemic sclerosis), recurrent fevers syndromes, familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis, and adenitis (PFAPA) syndrome, and unexplained multisystemic diseases.
