Led by Prof. Michael Glikson, the new Cardiology Center views the education of the future generation of cardiologists as a central goal and an inseparable part of clinical practice. The center is recognized as an excellent hub in all fields of modern cardiology: invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, echocardiography and cardiac imaging, heart failure and artificial heart transplantation, cardiac genetics, prevention and rehabilitation, cardiac surgery, and academic research. As the largest cardiology department in Israel, the cardiology system allows for clinical involvement and exposure to a wide range of cardiac conditions across the spectrum, utilizing cutting-edge technologies.

The Integrated Heart Center holds daily morning meetings that include detailed clinical reviews of complex patients from the cardiac unit, with input from the integrated cardiology team. This is combined with integral academic activities and lectures by experts from Israel and around the world, fostering multi-disciplinary discussions around individual cases. Teaching continues alongside ongoing clinical engagement in the various departments and units of the Heart Center. Specialized teaching workshops are held each week, according to a structured annual syllabus and the curriculum requirements for specialization. The center's residents are supported and encouraged to participate in local meetings and international conferences.
