Radiology residency

In the modern era of imaging, this is no longer an issue. We minimize exposure to harmful radiation by using protective equipment and attire during imaging procedures, and our exposure is constantly monitored. According to data published by the NIH, since the 1950s there is no increased risk of cancer (or other diseases) among radiologists. 

A wide variety of individuals with different traits and skills excel in the field of imaging. The work involves daily computer use, much like many other advanced professions in the world.

If you were accepted to Medical School, the physics involved in the field of Medical Imaging should not present a problem. In fact, much of it is already familiar to you.  

Understanding physics allows us to better protect both the patients and ourselves while ensuring the quality of imaging.
