X-ray Institute

The X-ray Institute at Shaare Zedek Medical Center provides imaging services to all departments of the hospital, primarily to the Orthopedics Department, the Pediatric Orthopedic Unit, and the Emergency Medicine Department (Triage).

X-ray imaging utilizes the high penetrative power of X-rays to obtain reflections of the skeleton and other foreign bodies with high density. The resulting visualization is used for diagnosis and determining the appropriate treatment process.

The doctors and technicians working in the institute customize the examination protocol according to the specific medical needs and characteristics of each patient. They also ensure that every patient is exposed to the minimum required level of radiation. The X-ray images are automatically recorded in the computerized system and are immediately available to the attending physician after the completion of the imaging process.
