The Cell Profiling Laboratory conducts diagnostic tests for various hematological malignancies, anemia, and immunodeficiency by identifying unique proteins on different types of blood cells and their emission status. These tests are performed on peripheral blood, bone marrow, lymph nodes, biopsies, and various body fluids. The profiling is carried out using the FACS (Flow Cytometer) instrument, which detects the fluorescent staining of these proteins. The laboratory is equipped with two FACS instruments, with the newer model having three lasers, enabling simultaneous identification of 12 different proteins. This highly sensitive instrument can detect very small quantities of cells.
