Endocrine Laboratory

The laboratory provides services to departments, clinics, external entities, and private patients at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, conducting a variety of routine and specialized endocrine tests using advanced technologies in the field.

In addition to routine clinical work, the laboratory also conducts clinical research in collaboration with hospital physicians as well as researchers from other medical institutions and academia.

- Hormone tests for the diagnosis and monitoring of thyroid diseases
- Endocrine testing for fertility issues and hormone monitoring in fertility treatments
- Tests for diagnosing growth problems
- Tests for evaluating kidney function
- Tests for diagnosing and monitoring diabetes
- Tests for hypocalcemia and PTH assessment
- Bone turnover markers tests: CTX, P1NP.
- Vitamin D test
- Anemia investigation and monitoring: Ferritin, Vitamin B12, Folate
- Beta-HCG test for pregnancy diagnosis and monitoring
- Monitoring levels of antiepileptic drugs, digoxin, immunosuppressive drugs (cyclosporine, tacrolimus), and methotrexate in chemotherapy monitoring
- Urinalysis for drug screening
