Anesthesiology

Anesthetization is a dynamic and constantly developing and expanding field. The department’s main activities take place in the operating rooms although the staff also provide a range of other medical services, including Obstetrics, Gastroenterology, Imaging (Radiology), Angiography, Cardiology in general and catheterization in particular, and more. In addition, the department operates a Pain Clinic specializing in interventional pain treatment.

The Recovery Unit at Shaare Zedek is responsible for treating and monitoring patients after any surgical procedure conducted in the various departments. Similarly, the unit is often home to ICU patients, ventilator patients, patients with chronic problems, trauma or patients waiting for significant and urgent surgery. The unit’s nursing team is comprised of nurses who have all undergone training in intensive care.
