In the operating rooms, the department provides general, regional and local anesthesia for all types of surgery, including General Surgery, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Plastic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery.

Most elective (non-urgent) patients are examined in the department’s Pre-Operative Clinic before their surgery.

The department also places great importance on teaching – students, doctors and the public at large. We are proud of our intern training program and believe it will provide future anesthetists with a high level of knowledge and expertise in all areas of anesthetization.
