Dr. Abulafia is considered an international opinion leader, serves as a consultant to leading companies in the cataract field, and is a partner in many studies in the field of cataract surgery and advanced intraocular lenses, including the development of a formula named after him which is used by many eye surgeons from all over the world. Dr. Abulafia actively participates in international conferences in Ophthalmology and is regularly invited to give keynote lectures at these conferences. Dozens of medical articles he wrote were published in prestigious journals in the field of ophthalmology, and he is also on the editorial board of the prestigious Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery
