Over 40 years of active work as a doctor, first as part of the academic reserve (discharged from the IDF at the rank of major) and later in internal medicine, with the last 30 years almost exclusively in Gaucher's disease both in the clinic and in basic and clinical research

- Former chairman of the Gaucher's Committee of the Ministry of Health
- Organizer and chairman of conferences in Israel and abroad on rare diseases

Research Areas and Articles
Genetic aspects of Gaucher's disease (relationship between the genetic defect and the clinical manifestations), leading clinical trials with innovative drugs, including intravenous enzymatic treatments, oral treatment with a substrate inhibitor, proving the effectiveness of treatment with the pharmacological chaperone Ambroxol and recently participating in gene therapy trials; A second major area began with the identification of the connection between Gaucher and Parkinson's, the study of precursor findings of Parkinson's in carriers and the development of a therapeutic approach to prevent Parkinson's.
