The Division of Nursing Services at Shaare Zedek is known for its professionalism and high ethical standards. The 1,500 nursing staff hold academic qualifications and advanced training in various areas of nursing care. 

The nursing team at Shaare Zedek Medical Center is dedicated to providing patient-centered care, taking into consideration preferences, values, and culture. Shaare Zedek Medical Center was established in 1902 by Dr. Moshe Wallach, a central figure in the history of medicine during the period of settlement. Wallach founded and managed the hospital for 45 years (1902-1947). Since its opening with 20 beds on Jaffa Street, Shaare Zedek has played a significant role in the city's development.

The nursing management is launching a unique training program for nurses who are interested in developing a managerial career as a natural progression to clinical advancement. As part of the program, a selection of nurses capable of managing and leading hospital departments at Shaare Zedek will be formed.

• Determining nursing policy, including regulations and working methods stemming from overall hospital policy and professional Health Ministry standards, and implementing them throughout the nursing teams.
• Recruiting, selecting and placing nurses, auxiliaries, porters and artificial respiration technicians.
