About
The Nursing School adjacent to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center was founded in 1936 by Schwester Selma Mayer, who also directed it for many years.
More than 2,000 graduates have worked or are currently working in health systems in Israel and overseas, contributing to the nursing profession in a wide range of roles: diagnosing and treating health disorders, health prevention and promotion, providing health solutions for special needs and multi-cultural populations and serving in management positions in health, education and research.
Our Nursing School graduates have a fine reputation for extensive professional knowledge, advanced skills and professional conduct appropriate to Jewish ethics and Halacha.
The Shaare Zedek Medical Center has an international reputation thanks to its fine balance of advanced medicine with individual care for every patient. The close connection and feeling of belonging that the Nursing School engenders promises a high level of study alongside practical specialization on site, with no need to travel to other places during the academic year.
There are two study tracks at the Nursing School:
1. Nursing degree under the aegis of the Lev Academic Center.
2. RN qualification for academics switching professions.
The teaching faculty has extensive teaching experience, and the Nursing School management ensures that the learning atmosphere is comfortable, professional and supportive.
The Nursing School's location - on the light rail route, just off the Begin Highway and the exit from Highway 16 - makes it easily accessible from all areas of the city as well as from outside Jerusalem.
