At Shaare Zedek Medical Center we deliver over 22,000 babies each year. Whether it's a regular birth or a more complicated situation involving an IVF or high-risk pregnancy, our team is trained and equipped to provide you with the best professional care.

There are several factors to take into consideration when choosing where to give birth. We are here to help you.

It’s your child. You should give birth in the way you want to.

We believe parents should be fully involved in caring for their baby from the very beginning. We will be happy to meet you and your partner during the pregnancy and discuss your birth plans and the variety of options that are available, including pain management techniques, different delivery positions, yoga and different types of therapies.

You decide whether to give birth naturally or with the help of an epidural. If you have previously had a Caesarian and want a natural birth, we are here to advise and support you every step of the way.

Our midwives are trained in many delivery techniques and want to help you have the best possible birthing experience. We are fully equipped to provide all the support and assistance you need in your preferred delivery method:

1. The nurses’ station is equipped with screens connected to the delivery room monitors. This ensures constant supervision and immediate availability if necessary.
2. We make sure that the mother and baby have plenty of time together right after the birth.
3. We encourage breastfeeding. Our midwives will help you with the first feeding and our breastfeeding instructors are at your service, even when you are back at home.
