At our clinic, you will undergo a medical examination by a physician, a nursing assessment, a physiological evaluation, and the establishment of an exercise plan.

The Institute for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention has moved to its new, spacious, and luxurious premises. The institute is located in an inviting and modern space equipped with state-of-the-art equipment tailored to a variety of activities and advanced personal monitoring capabilities. The institute also features brand new, spacious changing rooms and restroom facilities with compartments for personal use and equipment storage during activities. The institute is fully accessible to people with disabilities.

• Phase 1: Group Training by a Multidisciplinary Team, including a Rehabilitation Nurse, Social Worker, Dietitian, and Exercise Physiologist.
• Phase 2: Pre-Rehabilitation Clinic, which includes an evaluation by a Cardiologist, a nurse, dietary counseling as needed, physiological assessment, and the development of an exercise plan.
• Phase 3: Physical Training, conducted in the morning, is individually tailored according to the personalized plan determined by the physiologist based on the medical condition, limitations, and exercise stress test results. Each participant attends two training sessions per week, each lasting about 50 minutes, scheduled on specific days (either Sunday-Wednesday or Monday-Thursday) at a set time.

The recommended duration of participation in cardiac rehabilitation is 9 months.

For most heart conditions, the first 3 months are included in the health basket and are free of charge. After that, it is covered through supplemental health insurance from your health fund or private insurance with self-participation according to the specific health fund and insurance type.

Cardiac rehabilitation following a heart event is crucial for recovery, returning to optimal function, and preventing further heart events, hospitalizations, and surgeries. However, there are patients who find it difficult to regularly attend cardiac rehabilitation sessions at the hospital for various reasons such as a lack of time, living far from the hospital, difficulty with parking, work commitments outside the city all day, reluctance to train in a group, and more.

At the Shaare Zedek Cardiac Rehabilitation Institute, we offer a unique solution to this issue. For patients who meet the criteria set by the Ministry of Health, we provide remote cardiac rehabilitation sessions at a time that suits them, in their natural environment, whether at home or in a local fitness center, without the need to come to the rehabilitation center twice a week. All of this is done under the personal supervision and monitoring of a team of doctors, dietitians, nurses, fitness trainers, and more.

Remote cardiac rehabilitation is recognized by the Ministry of Health as a standard cardiac rehabilitation procedure for eligible patients. It is included in the health basket at no cost for the first three months and subsequently through supplementary insurance with a relatively small self-participation fee.
