The main mission of the Infectious Diseases Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center is to diagnose infectious diseases, provide treatment to patients, and prevent such diseases, both acquired in the community and within the hospital. The unit's physicians actively participate in local and international clinical research, mainly focusing on new antibiotic treatments against various infectious diseases, conducted by the pharmaceutical industry.
